Relaxed Nervous System
Learn how to relax your nervous system through a quick text message exchange.
Your nervous system reacts to everything in your environment. It allows you to see, feel, smell, hear, taste, and react. As your nervous system is activated, an electrical reaction produces chemicals that produce a reaction. The more stimulated the nervous system becomes, the more chemicals are released. An overabundance or a lack of certain chemicals can have negative reactions, such as migraine, anxiety, and depression. One way to keep you nervous system balanced is learn relaxation techniques. These include yoga, meditation, and biofeedback. In all of these, you become mindful of your body and mind connection. You take deep breaths in, hold for a couple seconds and then release. You can close your eyes, and picture yourself in a peaceful happy place. Clear your mind of worry, and only focus on negative energy leaving your body. You are becoming relaxed, as you feel tension leaving your head and neck, traveling out to your limbs, and leaving from your fingers and toes. Your mind is clear and you feel relaxed. Do this everyday, and every time you feel your nervous system is becoming overwhelmed. Practice a technique that works for you, and continue to master it, until it works without much effort.
